FAQ sur les commutateurs de transfert
Rely on United Rentals’ selection of transfer switches to safely, reliably and quickly switch electrical loads. When utility power goes out, an automatic transfer switch immediately reroutes source power to a connected backup generator or UPS system to keep the lights on without you having to flip a switch. Our selection of reliable transfer switches for rent ranges from 200 amps to 2,000 amps. Transfer switches are commonly used in tandem with a portable, diesel or natural gas generator for safe power exchanges. Automatic transfer switches are often used in healthcare facilities, data centers, schools, warehouses and other settings where functioning power is critical. United Rentals carries inventory from top power distribution manufacturers, like Trystar and ASCO, to ensure quality equipment rentals every time.

Transfer switches allow for the safe connection or disconnection of an electric source to an electric load. Transfer switches can be connected directly to the primary and secondary power sources and can safely switch power loads between the two.
An automatic transfer switch continuously monitors a system's power level and triggers a switch once it senses a drop in frequency or voltage. A manual transfer switch requires an operator to physically use the transfer switch to change to secondary power.
When sizing your transfer switch to your generator it is important to match the amperages of the main or largest outlet of your generator. For example, if the main breaker of your generator is 30 amps, then the matching transfer switch is 30 amps. Besoin d’aide? Contact a Power and HVAC specialist for further guidance.
