United Rentals has one of the largest inventories of steel road plates for rent, with sizes ranging from 4-by-4-foot plates to 10-by-20-foot plates. Road plates are made to fit or be laid over trenches, holes and excavations for traffic to safely pass over. Manufactured from ASTM A36 steel, our road plates are safe and durable for traffic and pedestrians and are fitted with either a quick-connect lifter or screw-in style lifter, leaving no protrusions above the plate surface. Additionally, we offer screws, lifting rings, ramps and lifting beams to make your road work safe and efficient. Choose between skid-resistant surfaces, like this anti-skid pedestrian plate, for non-slippery jobsites or untreated road plates, depending on the project.

Une plaque routière est une grande surface plane qui recouvre temporairement la chaussée afin de ne pas gêner la circulation des piétons et des véhicules. Road plates allow heavy machinery to pass over potholes and rough terrain, protecting the jobsite and preventing damage to equipment.
Le poids des plaques routières en acier peut varier en fonction de la taille et de l’épaisseur de la plaque. Plates that are 1 to 2 inches thick and around 5 by 8 feet can weigh approximately 1,650 pounds, while plates that are 8 by 20 feet can weigh a little more than 6,500 pounds.
Il existe une formule simple pour calculer le poids d’une plaque routière : poids = largeur x longueur x épaisseur x densité. Contact our trench safety experts for additional support.
