FAQ sur les bouchons de tuyau et l’équipement d’essai
United Rentals offers pipe plugs and testing equipment for rent, designed for sewage, water lines or other various pipe maintenance applications. Pipe plugs are a go-to tool for temporarily sealing pipes. We offer a wide range of flow-through plugs, also known as bypass plugs, with sizes ranging from 6 to 10 inches, which allows for bypass flow through the plug. Additionally, we carry a variety of manhole testers, as well as manhole vacuum testing pumps for monitoring vacuum loss and maintenance access. Whether you’re looking for a flow-thru plug or a test plug to find a leak location or test line acceptance, our United Rentals expert technicians service and maintain all our pipe pressure testing equipment to ensure things will run smoothly and reliably on your next project. Learn more about pipe plugs and testing equipment in our FAQ section below.
Pipe plugs are temporary solutions to seal and hold pipes in sewer lines, water lines and more to test for leaks and assess water pressure. We also offer test ball plugs, which are inflatable pipe plugs that can be fitted into the section of the pipe that requires testing and inflated until snug.
Although PEX, copper or PVC pipes can be used, it is recommended to use a galvanized metal pipe for water lines. Galvanized steel is more durable and has a coating that provides a barrier to corrosion and extends the life of the pipe. Contact our trench safety experts for additional support.
You can use a water pipe epoxy compound, pipe wrap, pipe clamp, rubber pipe connector, plumbing repair tape or repair sleeve.
